1. Copyright Ownership & Artist Rights
Wreemongar Music Distribution is committed to protecting artists' rights:
- Artists retain 100% ownership of their music, master recordings, and compositions
- Wreemongar Music Distribution does not claim ownership of any artist-uploaded content
- Artists maintain all rights to licensing, synchronization, and publishing
- Wreemongar Music Distribution distributes content on behalf of artists and collects royalties for remittance
- Artists are responsible for securing all necessary rights before uploading content
2. Artist Responsibilities
When uploading content to Wreemongar Music Distribution, you warrant that:
- You own or have legally obtained all rights to the content being uploaded
- You have secured all necessary clearances for samples, interpolations, and featured artists
- You have obtained mechanical licenses for any cover songs
- You have secured master rights and publishing rights from all rights holders
- The content does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights
- You have the authority to grant Wreemongar Music Distribution the distribution rights
- You will indemnify and hold harmless Wreemongar Music Distribution from any infringement claims
3. Copyright Infringement Reporting
If you believe your copyright has been infringed by content on Wreemongar Music Distribution, you may submit a written notice. Your notice must include the following information:
- Your full legal name and contact information
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed
- Identification of the specific content on our platform that you claim infringes your copyright
- The URL or specific location of the infringing content
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized

5. Our Response to DMCA Notices
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, Wreemongar Music Distribution will:

- Notify the content uploader of the infringement claim
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content within 24-48 hours
- Notify the content uploader of their right to submit a counter-notice
- Provide the claimant with information about the counter-notice process
- Maintain records of the notice for our legal archives
6. Counter-Notices
If your content was removed due to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was in error, you may submit a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include:

- If the claimant files legal action, we will maintain the content as removed pending court order
- We will notify you of the outcome within 2-3 business days of the waiting period
8. Repeat Infringer Policy
Wreemongar Music Distribution maintains a policy of terminating the accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers:
- Users who receive multiple valid DMCA notices may have their accounts suspended
- Repeat infringers may be permanently banned from Wreemongar Music Distribution
- Three or more confirmed infringement violations will result in account termination
- Terminated accounts will have all content removed from distribution
- No royalties will be paid on infringing content
9. Mechanical Licenses for Covers
Artists uploading cover songs are responsible for:
- Obtaining mechanical licenses from the copyright holder or licensing agency
- Providing proof of mechanical licensing before uploading
- Paying applicable mechanical royalties (Wreemongar does not handle this)
- Ensuring proper songwriting credits and composition ownership information
- Complying with mechanical licensing requirements in all territories
Cover songs uploaded without proper mechanical licenses may be removed without notice.
10. Third-Party Content & Sampling
If your music contains samples or interpolations of other works:
- You must have obtained clearances from both the master owner and songwriter
- You must provide documentation of all clearances before uploading
- You are responsible for any clearance fees or royalty payments
- Failure to obtain clearances is grounds for account termination and permanent ban
11. Takedown & Restoration Timeline
Here's the typical timeline for copyright-related actions:
- DMCA Notice received: Acknowledged within 1 business day
- Content removal: Within 24-48 hours of valid notice
- Counter-notice window: 10-14 business days
- Content restoration: Within 2-3 business days if no legal action filed
- Royalty retention: Royalties held for 180 days pending resolution
12. Royalty Holds
When content is flagged for copyright concerns:
- Royalties continue to be collected during investigation
- Royalties are held in escrow for 180 days pending resolution
- If infringement is confirmed, royalties are forfeited or paid to rights holder
- If claim is disputed or resolved, royalties are released to artist
- Artists will be notified of held royalties via email
13. Disputes & Appeals
If you disagree with a DMCA decision made by Wreemongar Music Distribution:
- You may appeal within 30 days of the decision
- Submit appeals to legal@wreemongar.com with detailed documentation
- Appeals will be reviewed by our legal team within 5-7 business days
- We will provide a detailed explanation of our final decision
