1. Copyright Ownership & Artist Rights

Wreemongar Music is committed to protecting artists' ownership and rights:

• Artists retain 100% ownership of their music, master recordings, and compositions
• Wreemongar Music does not claim ownership of any artist-uploaded content
• Artists maintain all rights to licensing, synchronization, and publishing
• Artists are responsible for securing all necessary rights before uploading content
• We support artists in understanding rights, licensing, and copyright best practices

2. Artist Responsibilities

When uploading content to Wreemongar Music, you confirm that:

• You own or have legally obtained all rights to the content being uploaded
• You have secured all necessary clearances for samples, interpolations, and featured artists
• You have obtained mechanical licenses for any cover songs
• You have secured master rights and publishing rights from all rights holders
• The content does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights
• You have the authority to upload and share this content on Wreemongar Music

3. Copyright Infringement Reporting

If you believe your copyright has been infringed by content on Wreemongar Music Distribution, you may submit a written notice. Your notice must include the following information:

• Your full legal name and contact information
• A description of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed
• Identification of the specific content on our platform that you claim infringes your copyright
• The URL or specific location of the infringing content
• A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized
• A statement under penalty of perjury that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
• Your physical or electronic signature
• Evidence of your copyright ownership or rights (registration, license agreement, etc.)

4. DMCA Notice Submission

5. Our Response to DMCA Notices

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, Wreemongar Music will:

• Review the claim and verify the information provided
• Notify the content uploader of the infringement claim
• Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content as promptly as reasonably possible
• Notify the content uploader of their right to submit a counter-notice
• Provide the claimant with information about the counter-notice process
• Maintain records of the notice for our legal archives

6. Counter-Notices

If your content was removed due to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was in error, you may submit a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include:

• Your full legal name and contact information
• Identification of the material that was removed
• A detailed explanation of why you believe the removal was in error
• A statement that you have a good faith belief the material was removed in error
• A statement under penalty of perjury that you own or are authorized to act on behalf of the content owner
• Your consent to jurisdiction of the federal court in your local area
• Your physical or electronic signature

7. Counter-Notice Process

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice:

• We will notify the original copyright claimant of the counter-notice
• We will provide the claimant with your contact information
• The content will remain removed for 10-14 business days while the claimant considers their options
• If the claimant does not file a legal action, we will restore the content
• If the claimant files legal action, we will maintain the content as removed pending court order
• We will notify you of the outcome following the waiting period

8. Repeat Infringer Policy

Wreemongar Music maintains a policy of addressing repeat copyright infringement:

• Users who receive multiple valid DMCA notices may have their accounts reviewed
• Repeat infringers may face account suspension or termination
• We take intellectual property violations seriously and will enforce this policy consistently
• Terminated accounts will have all infringing content removed

9. Mechanical Licenses for Covers

Artists uploading cover songs are responsible for:

• Obtaining mechanical licenses from the copyright holder or licensing agency
• Understanding and complying with mechanical licensing requirements
• Ensuring proper songwriting credits and composition ownership information
• Complying with licensing requirements in all territories where the cover is distributed

Wreemongar Music provides guidance on cover song licensing best practices. Cover songs uploaded without proper documentation of licensing may be subject to removal.

10. Third-Party Content & Sampling

If your music contains samples or interpolations of other works:

• You must have obtained clearances from both the master owner and songwriter
• You are responsible for understanding and managing clearance fees or royalty payments
• Wreemongar Music provides guidance on sample clearance best practices
• Failure to obtain proper clearances may result in content removal or account suspension

11. Takedown & Restoration Timeline

Here's the typical timeline for copyright-related actions:

• DMCA Notice received: Acknowledged within 1 business day
• Content review and action: As promptly as reasonably possible
• Counter-notice window: 10-14 business days
• Content restoration: Following the counter-notice period if no legal action filed

12. Disputes & Appeals

If you disagree with a DMCA decision made by Wreemongar Music:

• You may appeal within 30 days of the decision
• Submit appeals to support@wreemongarmusic.org with detailed documentation
• Appeals will be reviewed by Wreemongar Music management or authorized representatives
• We will provide a detailed explanation of our decision
